Palaiochori Health Center Energy Upgrade

Can a rural health facility become a model of energy efficiency and modern healthcare delivery?
At Renel, we believe it can — and we’re here to prove it.

Our team just signed a new public contract with the 4th Regional Health Authority for the energy upgrade and modernization of the Palaiochori Health Center, a key point of care for residents in Chalkidiki in the total amount of 1.737.291,12 euros.

This new project is part of Greece’s broader health infrastructure transformation under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (Greece 2.0) and includes:

• Targeted energy interventions for improved efficiency
• Full upgrade of electromechanical systems
• Modernization of interior healthcare spaces, including the physiotherapy unit
• Integration of smart lighting and climate systems

What does this mean for local communities?

• Better healthcare access in a safer, more comfortable environment
• Health professionals working in optimized conditions that enhance efficiency and quality of care
• Public investment that delivers measurable environmental and social impact

Renel continues to bring engineering excellence and ESG commitment to the frontlines of public health — transforming not just buildings, but the quality of life they support.
