Renel Energy & Power Engineering, with more than 17 years of experience in delivering energy and technical projects across Greece, is looking for a Deputy Project Manager-Public Projects to strengthen its EPC team, based at the Volos Branch Office.

The position is aimed at an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with initial professional experience in technical projects, particularly Public Works, who is looking to develop their career in Project Management.

The Deputy Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager, actively contributing to the organization, monitoring and delivery of projects, both from the office and on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Project Manager in the management and monitoring of projects
• Monitoring schedules, milestones, and progress of both physical and financial scope
• Participating in the monitoring and management of Public Works and related contractual obligations
• Preparing and monitoring quantity measurements, payment certificates, variation orders and other technical documents
• Managing and circulating documentation to public authorities and technical services
• Conducting site inspections and monitoring works on site
• Coordinating and communicating with subcontractors, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders
• Monitoring procurement activities, technical specifications and material approvals
• Supporting project cost and budget monitoring
• Preparing progress reports and maintaining the project’s technical documentation

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a University or Polytechnic School
• Initial professional experience in technical projects, ideally 1 to 3 years
• Experience or substantial familiarity with the implementation and monitoring of Public Works
• Familiarity with quantity measurements, payment certificates, variation orders and technical/contractual documentation will be considered a significant advantage
• Experience in a construction site environment and collaboration with subcontractors and/or suppliers
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of MS Project or similar project monitoring tools will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/ZWCAD or equivalent software
• Very good command of English
• Category B driving licence
• Willingness and availability to travel for business and visit projects across Greece
