Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) Engineer

Job Description

Renel Energy & Power Engineering, with more than 16 years of experience in the implementation of large-scale energy projects across Greece, a dynamically growing company in the energy sector, is seeking a Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) Engineer.

As an MEP Engineer – Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the preparation of electromechanical (MEP) studies for the company’s projects, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with applicable regulations, and seamless integration of systems with the architectural and structural design.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills.

The position requires on-site presence at the company’s facilities in Thessaloniki.


Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of MEP design studies (Building Electrical Installations, power and low voltage systems, Plumbing and Drainage, HVAC, Fire Protection)

  • Load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection

  • Design and drafting in an AutoCAD environment

  • Collaboration with architects and civil engineers for coordinated design delivery

  • Preparation of technical descriptions, specifications, and bills of quantities

  • Monitoring design changes and updating drawings accordingly

  • Technical support during the construction phase (e.g. responses to RFIs, technical documentation)


Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • At least 6 years of experience in MEP design studies

  • Excellent knowledge of CAD software

  • Knowledge of Ti-Soft or 4M software is considered an asset

  • Strong communication skills

  • Team spirit and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

  • Good command of English (written and spoken)

  • Good knowledge of Greek and international standards and regulations (e.g. ELOT, EN, ASHRAE)

  • Ability to produce technical documentation and reports

  • Valid driving license

  • Willingness to travel, as occasional trips within Greece may be required depending on project needs

  • Fulfilled military obligations for male candidates
