Renel undertook the project for the energy upgrade of the 1st Model High School of Chalkida. The project is funded under the “Sterea Ellada” 2021-2027 Programme, with a contract value of €297,621.43.

The works cover a rooftop photovoltaic system, new energy-efficient windows and glazing, external thermal insulation, roof and pilotis waterproofing and insulation, a new natural gas boiler, LED lighting, and partial replacement of air conditioning units with high-efficiency models.

An energy upgrade that transforms a building operating 5 days a week, 9 months a year, into a space that consumes and costs significantly less. A building that hosts students and teachers every day. Less cold in winter, less heat in summer, less cost for the Municipality. That is energy upgrading in practice.
