Senior Field Engineer

Renel Energy & Power Engineering, with more than 17 years of experience in delivering large-scale energy projects across Greece, is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to join its EPC team.

As a Senior Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily coordination and technical supervision of on-site activities, ensuring that projects are executed in accordance with technical specifications, schedules, quality requirements, and the company’s Health & Safety standards.

The role requires a strong site presence, close collaboration with Project Managers, construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers, as well as the ability to manage technical issues and make critical field decisions.

This position involves on-site work at company projects and at our offices in Thessaloniki, with the possibility of business travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities for public and private sector projects
  • Monitor daily project progress and report updates to the Project Manager
  • Coordinate site crews, subcontractors, and external partners
  • Plan and schedule project activities while monitoring timelines
  • Conduct site inspections, measurements, and quantity verifications
  • Receive, inspect, and manage project materials and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality requirements
  • Enforce Health & Safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Resolve technical issues arising during the construction and installation phases
  • Maintain project logs, technical reports, and photographic recordsCollaborate with technical authorities, clients, and other project stakeholders
  • Represent the company on-site with professionalism and accountability

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline from a higher education institution
    Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar site supervision or technical project role
  • Experience in energy, electromechanical, or construction projects
  • Ability to coordinate multiple crews and site activities simultaneously
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Good command of the English language
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and project monitoring tools
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to make effective field decisions
  • Valid Category B driving license
  • Availability for business travel
  • Military obligations fulfilled (where applicable)
