Although renewable energy sources are beneficial to reduce carbon emissions, their intermittent characteristics may result in power-supply issues in distribution grid. Battery energy storage systems are generally regarded as an efficient solution to deal with these problems. We can develop optimal storage solutions to improve the reliability and stability of power supply, balance the power flow in the network and help distribution companies to meet energy demand reliably and sustainably.
